Ronald Stoops Exhibition “WORK RONALD FRIENDS”

We would like to announce that “th,” continuously approaching to culture and mind between Tokyo and Antwerp will offer a publication party and art show for an Antwerp based photographer, Ronald Stoops, at the Gallery 38. This is for dedicating to his first visit to Japan and his art book showing the Antwerp fashion scenes from back in 80’s.

Ronald Stoops has started his career as a photographer lured by his friend, Martin Margiela before his debut. He has been supporting and working for the visuals of the various designers such as Martin Margiela from the early stage, Antwerp 6, and Raf Simons in the background, thus Taro Horiuchi, the designer of “th,” believes that he has a crucial role in the history of Antwerp fashion. 

The image visuals of “th” have been created with Ronald from the first season. Japan is one of the countries where he has been longing for for a long time and this is the first time to come.

In this exhibition directed by Horiuchi, we prepare to show and sell his archives to celebrate his first visit to Japan as well as to publish his first art book “work ronald friends” We also distribute T-shirts etc. with his archive graphics printed.

It would be appreciated if you stop by and see his significant works and independent attitude towards shooting the new brands born every year based in Antwerp, Belgium.

On January 25th, some pieces of artworks will be specially exhibited, and art books, apparel will be on sale in ADDITION ADELAIDE and EDITION GRAND FRONT OSAKA, those stores where “th” is handled. Moreover, from January 28th pop-up space for selling art books and apparel, will be set up in DAIKANYAMA TSUTAYA bookstore.
