We align and distance ourself from the bear,
the known and the unknown, enticed by
some familiar deep and intelligence,
weary of its power and strength.
Shamanic summonings, ancestral folklore, and
the wild encounter, the elemental character of
the bear seems to offer us a glimpse of
nature and ourself in their most raw state.
